Originally a native of Florida, Dr. Trisha Charland graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 2002. She received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry at New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2007.
Dr. Charland practiced general dentistry in the NJ metro area for several years. It was during this time that she found root canal procedures were her favorite part of dentistry. She enjoyed saving the natural tooth and providing relief for patients in pain. She returned to UMDNJ to receive her specialty training in Endodontics.
Due to her strong general dentistry background, Dr. Charland demonstrates a unique perspective when it comes to looking at the overall dental health of our patients. Dr. Charland firmly believes in the importance of keeping up to date with advancements in the field of Endodontics and the importance of being an active member of the dental community. She is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Connecticut State Dental Association. She has spoken at the New York Greater Dental Meeting and co-authored a research articles published in the Journal of Endodontics and Oral Health Dental Journal. Dr. Charland is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
When Dr. Charland is not in the office, she enjoys skiing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her husband, two children and dog.
